How To Measure for a Dress

We recommend that, if possible, to get a qualified tailor or dress maker to measure you for a wedding dress. However, if this is not possible, it is fairly easy to do with the help of family or friends. Under no ciscumstances should you measure yourself. We also recommend that you get two different people to measure you but not together. Then compare the measurements to see if both got the same results. If there is a difference, we suggest to double check the measurements again.

What you need:

All you need is a good flexible fabric measuring tape and a pen. Please be careful when measuring not to pull the tape too tight as this can result in a badly fitting dress. It is easier to take a dress in a little than to have to let it out. A good idea is to keep two fingers between the tape and the body so as to ensure it is not too tight. Measurements can be provided in Inches or Centimeters. If you have any questions, please contact us as we'll be happy to help.
