We recommend that, if possible, to get a qualified tailor or dress maker to measure you for a wedding dress. However, if this is not possible, it is fairly easy to do with the help of family or friends. Under no ciscumstances should you measure yourself. We also recommend that you get two different people to measure you but not together. Then compare the measurements to see if both got the same results. If there is a difference, we suggest to double check the measurements again.
What you need:
All you need is a good flexible fabric measuring tape and a pen. Please be careful when measuring not to pull the tape too tight as this can result in a badly fitting dress. It is easier to take a dress in a little than to have to let it out. A good idea is to keep two fingers between the tape and the body so as to ensure it is not too tight. Measurements can be provided in Inches or Centimeters. If you have any questions, please contact us as we'll be happy to help.
Bust
Not your bra size! But you must wear a bra when taking this measurement.
Take the tape around your back and bring it across the fullest part of your bust.
Waist
This is the smallest part of your waist. Typically it's an inch or so above belly button.
Hips
This is the widest part of your hips, across the hipbone.
Measurement is taken at the widest point, usually about 7 inches below the natural waistline.
Upper Bust
Measure around the highest part of your chest directly under the arms.
Your arms should be relaxed, down at your sides.
Under Bust
Measure under your breasts in the same manner as measuring over them.
Shoulder to Hem
Measure from the shoulder point, and take the tape through the bust point,
then down to the hem at one side.
Hollow to Floor
Measure from the hollow just under your neck to the floor.
Stand upright in your bare feet and your feet together.
Our tailor will make dress 5cm longer to allow for being in bare feet.

This measurement gives the size of the sleeve hole that you are comfortable wearing.
